JH Scholastic Cats Lose Nail Biter
Well, the Luck 'O the Irish wasn't with the Scholasti-Cats yesterday, but the team continues to exemplify a positive attitude and strong group effort. Eight members of the Cat's team mustered up the nerve to push that buzzer yesterday even while facing a very strong Limestone opponent. Ayden Belt sat in that Captain's chair and answered FIVE correct Toss-Up questions while Katy Gregory, Dana Forrest, and Lucinda Hartig each contributed an impressive THREE! Josh Price and Kayden Norkus answered TWO, and Jacob Phillips and Charlie Brunger both buzzed in with ONE! After a very close JV match was played, Beecher and Limestone were tied with 170 points EACH after all questions were used. Unfortunately, Dizzy Gillespie's trumpet sounded its victory tune in favor of the opponent, but it was a fun match to watch. Thank you to ALL the students, teachers, and parents who came out to watch us play. Next week the Cats have no matches, but we will face Peotone and Brandley the following week on March 28th and 30th! Spectators are welcome!!
