JV VB Falls to First Place Team

The JV Lady Lion Volleyball Team played host to conference power, and first place, Old Quarry yesterday in front of an enthusiastic crowd.  Old Quarry’s high-flying attack of jump servers and hitters at the net were difficult for Lisle to contain, and the Lions fell in Set 1 by the count of twenty five to thirteen.  Set 2 started out slow for Lisle, but after a lengthy service run by Emily Beiniasz, the energetic crowd was thinking the Lions could pull off a comeback in the Set.  With the Lions ahead thirteen to twelve, Old Quarry was able to get a side out, and then proceeded to go on a long run to defeat the Lions by the count of twenty five to thirteen. 
This loss moves the girls’ record to three wins and two defeats heading into three contests next week.  Coach Schmidt would like to thank all who came out to support the team yesterday.
