JV VB Wins Another One
The JV Lady Lions Volleyball Team was in Darien yesterday to take on another SDEAA clan of Warriors known as Cass. Set 1 had Lisle off to a great start as solid efforts from Samantha Buchelt, Jaya Claussen, Zoey Buchelt, Summer Klein, Rose Helderle, and Elliott Parks were able to lead Lisle to a twenty five to twelve victory. Set 2 was a back and forth affair that was not decided until Lily Rocha closed it out with a seven point service run and Lisle was able to come away with a twenty five to twenty three victory. Standout contributions in Set 2 were turned in by Olivia Pecak, Emily Bieniasz, Kendall Morris and Avery Pecak.
This win moves the girls' record to six wins and only two defeats as they head into IESA Regional play in Crest Hill on Saturday, where they take on the number four seeded Rockford Barbour Middle School. Lisle is one of six teams in the extremely difficult regional with a winning record, and a victory Saturday will match them up with the number one seeded Kelvin Grove Hornets, who themselves sport a sixteen and one record.
