JV VB Completes Record-Setting Season with a Win
Yesterday, your JV Lion Lions Volleyball Team concluded a tremendously successful season with an attack on the Generals that even Dwight D wouldn’t have been able to stop. In Set 1, Lisle saw great serving from Hailey Sullivan, Kendall Morris and Avery Pecak, while Olivia Pecak, Collins Weaver and Elliott Parks contributed solid efforts. However, the Generals forged a solid counter-attack late, and pulled away to a Set 1 victory. Set 2 saw your Lions retreat strategically, and put on an attack of their own as Emily Bieniasz, Samantha Buchelt, Jennifer Duban, and Summer Klein helped Lisle to a decisive victory, forcing Set 3. After winning the coin toss, Jaya Claussen helped Lisle get off to a great start with five straight service points and the Lions never looked back. Solid net play by Collins Weaver, Lily Rocha and Samantha Buchelt helped set up Alaina Schroeder to serve out the Set and Match for the victory.
This win was record-setting for the JV, as they won the most games in over fifteen years at the JV level for Lisle, with a final record of eight wins and only four defeats. This win also clinched a third place finish in the conference with a seven win and three loss SDEAA record.
Coach Schmidt would like to thank each and every member on the eighteen girl roster for their hard work and great all around effort this year. It was an absolute pleasure to coach you all!
