BOYS TENNIS | Varsity

The 2022 Boys Tennis Team had their 1st Home match on March 15th against Marian Central.  The team was defeated 5-0 but had some close games and LOTS of FUN!

The Dixon Match was cancelled on 3/24 due to rain.

The Woodstock Match took place on 4/4.  The team was defeated 6-0 but the team as a whole did much better than they did in their first match.  All players won at least one game and there were MANY deuce games!

The Freeport Match took place on 4/5 at home.  The team was defeated 4-1 but our 3rd doubles team of Gabe Yates and Gabe Innis won their match 6-2, 6-1.  All matches were closer than against other previous matches and all players won at least 1 game in their match.

The East Match was rescheduled due to weather to Monday April 25th at East High School.

The Rochelle Doubles Tournament was rescheduled from April 9th to April 15th.  It took place on the 15th and all doubles teams had some close games and 2 of the 3 doubles teams won some games.  It was a very windy and cold day and the team got some great experience against Rochelle High School, Dixon High School and DeKalb High School.

The Guilford Match took place at Guilford on Monday April 11th.  We were only able to bring our 1st Singles, 12nd Singles and 1st Doubles.  All of our players were up against very experienced players and came home with losses but great experiences.

The Boylan Match took place at Boylan on Tuesday April 12th at Boylan.  This was our closest meet yet.  We lost at each position but we had very close sets at 1st singles, 1st Doubles, 2nd Doubles and 3rd Doubles.  We are hoping that if we play those some players at Conference that we can bring home a win in some of those positions.

The Belvidere North Match at Home on April 14th was postponed (date TBD) due to the EXTREMELY high winds on the 14th.
