Eisenhower Soccer Program

1) RESPECT – Coaches, teachers, other students, other teams, your parents and your teammates.

2) PUNCTUALITY – Plan to be 10-15 minutes early for any of your commitments.

3) NO SWEARING – This goes for Coaching staff and all players. This is a matter of self control.

4) COMMUNICATION – If you have questions ask them, if you have a problem talk, if you are frustrated talk, if you are confused about anything talk. Your coaching staff cannot help you be a better you unless you communicate with us. Trust me, if I have a problem with you I will communicate it with you. I am here to help you on and off the field. If you are embarrassed ask me one on one and not in front of others.

5) HARD WORK – I expect your maximum effort on the field at practice, on the field in games, and in the classroom. This is what it is to be a professional. Do NOT ever let anyone tell you it is easy to be successful. It takes Hard Work and the earlier in your life you create good habits and work hard the more successful your life will be.

6) REPRESENT – Represent your school, team, family in a positive fashion everyday. That should be done at school, on the field, in the streets and at home.

7) NO FIGHTING – Fighting is absolutely unacceptable. This goes for fighting at practice, games, school and in the streets. This does NOT mean do not protect yourself or play hard. Throwing punches is 100% unacceptable.

8) LEADERSHIP – I expect every player on this team to be the best leader you can be. Just because you are not the Captain doesn’t mean you cannot be a leader. Remember leaders lead with positive actions.

9) STUDENT FIRST – It is critical that you take care your # 1 responsibility in H.S. and that is your education. You will all have a required 2 week progress report filled out by your teachers. If I do not receive this you will not play in games. If you have an F in any class you will NOT play. If you need help in a specific class…ask for help. There is nothing wrong with having a weakness in the classroom. The problem is not being man enough to admit it and fix it.

10) STUDY HALL – All players are required to attend study hall Mon-Thurs from 3:30-4:30. That gives you an hour to get homework done and plenty of time to be ready for practice from 5-7. If you have a D or lower in any class you will be required to have study hall after practice for another hour as well.
