Cahill named to the IHSA All-State Academic Team

Congratulations to Ellie Cahill who has been named to the 30th IHSA All-State Academic Team for the 2022-23 school year.   She was one of twenty-six students selected by a committee of high school administrators from across the state.  Nearly 500 nominations were received by the IHSA for the prestigious award.

Organized in 1949.

Encompassing the communities of Congerville, Eureka, and Goodfield and surrounding areas: 113 square miles.

Governed by a seven member elected Board of Education. Meetings are held the second Monday of every month at 7:00 p.m. in the Eureka High School Library, 200 West Cruger Avenue, Eureka, IL.

An active Citizens' Advisory Council representing a cross section of district residents and students.

Highest enrollment since the district was formed: 1,736.

Enrollment in 2021-22: Approximately 1,600.

Personnel employed: 122 certified staff; 82 support staff.

61% of the teaching staff hold a Masters degree or above.

All teachers meet the highly qualified standards of the No Child Left Behind Act.

A quality curriculum is offered with a variety of courses available.

Joint agreement with Illinois Central College for students to earn college credit.

A wide variety of extra curricular activities are offered at Eureka High School: 24 activities.
