Cheerleading | Varsity

Tryout & Team Information

Current 5th, 6th & 7th Grade students are trying out for placement on either the JV or Varsity Cheerleading team.
 

The season runs from a tryout in May, a summer camp, competitions in December and January & performances at Girls & Boys Basketball Game. Practices are generally after school from 2:30-4:30 pm.

• 5/2/22 - 4:00-5:30 pm - Clinic - Old Quarry Small Gym
• 5/4/22 - 4:00-5:30 pm - Clinic - Old Quarry Small Gym
• 5/5/22 - 2:30-5:00 pm - Participants will sign up for an individual Tryout time slot @ OQ

Requirement for participation: A current sports physical must be on file with the OQ school nurse prior to trying out.  If the student does not have a current physical they will not be allowed to try out.

Old Quarry Varsity Cheer team won first in the State Competition for medium schools in 2018, and has continued to excel in the state with two more state championships in 2019 & 2020! In 2022 the team was the state runner-up.

Minimum participation guidelines must be met in order for the activity to run & families will be billed for the fee/s after the first practice.

School Fee:

Junior Varsity $205
Varsity - School Fee: $205 & Competition Fee: $100

Families will be billed through Skyward for fees after the first meeting.

The cheering program is led by Brianna Paczkowski - Varsity Head Coach, Claudia DeSantis - Varsity Assistant Coach & Kristen Cook - JV Head Coach
