Cross Country | Varsity
Cross Country is open to all 6th, 7th & 8th-grade students who have a desire to run and improve. There are no tryouts for Cross Country
Practices will start on August 19, 2022. Practice meets daily after school from 2:30-4:00 pm for OQ students. An activity bus is not available for students after practice.
To register for the team, click REGISTRATION on the left. First-time users will need to create an account. If you have previously used 8to18 at LHS, please use your previously created log-in information using the Old Quarry link above.
Season
The season will run from August through Mid-October. Meets take place a few times a week and on some Saturdays. The season includes 9-11 meets, plus IESA events and the SDEAA conference.
Participation in weekend Invitationals and IESA meets may be by invitation only.
Requirement for participation: A current sports physical must be on file with the OQ school nurse before the first practice. If the student does not have a current physical, they will not be allowed to practice.
Contact nurse Rebecca Schmeltzer for more information about sports physicals.
Minimum participation guidelines must be met for the activity to run & families will be billed for the fee/s after the first practice through Skyward.
School Fee: $120
