JUNIOR HIGH FOOTBALL
ROCKFORD LUTHERAN SCHOOL WILL BE STARTING JUNIOR HIGH FOOTBALL.
WE ARE STARTING THIS PROGRAM IN THE FALL OF 2023. WE WILL BE PART OF THE NORTHERN ILLINOIS FOOTBALL CONFERENCE (NIFC). WE ARE SO EXCITED ABOUT THIS OPPORTUNITY AND LOOKING FORWARD TO BUILDING FROM THIS PROGRAM. WE WILL HAVE A SHORT INFORMATIONAL MEETING TOMORROW, TUESDAY 2/7/2023 RIGHT AFTER SCHOOL. THIS WILL BE JUST A QUICK 10-15 MEETING OF THOSE IN GRADES 6TH AND 7TH THAT WOULD BE INTERESTED IN PLAYING. THE MEETING WILL TAKE PLACE IN THE ATHLETIC OFFICE. PLEASE CALL IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS.

2019 Girls Track: Congratulations to Gloria Okoroti for qualifying for the IHSA State meet in the 100m dash.
2018 Girls Track: Congratulations to Anna Wichmann and Jolie Linhart for qualifying for the IHSA State meet in the Long Jump and 1600m, respectivly.
2017 Girls Track: Congratulations to the girls team who had two individuals and a relay qualify for the IHSA State meet. Courtney Sockwell qualified in the 100m and 200m dashes and took gold in both. Anna Wichmann qualified in the Long Jump. The 4x100 with Freshman Kayla Giordono and Ari Case, along with Anna Wichmann and Courtney Sockwell.
2015 Girls Track: Rockford Lutheran junior Courtney Sockwell returned to the Stateline area after a compelling finish at the IHSA 1-A girls track and field state finals. Courtney won gold medals in both the 100m and 200m dashes, finishing the 100m with a time of 11.95 and a new 1-A state record in the 200m dash.
2013 Girls Track: Congratulations to Claire Mesa on her qualification to the IHSA State Track meet.
2012 Girls Track: Congratulations to Amy Wieting for qualifing for the 2012 IHSA State Track Meet in the 400Meter. Amy completed her season with a 27th place finish.
2009 State Track: Sarah Kortze placed 5th in the 3200 m. State Track Meet. Her state meet performance allowed her to be recognized as an All-state runner in the 3200m. Congrats to Sarah, her teammates, and coaches for all the mentoring, encouraging, and mileage that was put in to accomplish this great feat.
