Washington will be offering FREE SUMMER CAMPS during the summer of 2024.  The camps are for incoming 6th, 7th and 8th graders.  You can register for as many camps as you like.

  • Girls Basketball Camp– 9:00 to 11:00 AM
  • Boys Basketball Camp– 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM

 

Week of June 10 – June 14 (Monday – Friday)

 

  • Girls Volleyball Camp – 8:00 to 10:00 AM
  • Boys Volleyball Camp – 10:00 to 12:00 PM

 

Week of June 17 – June 21 (Monday – Friday)

 

  • Cheer Camp - 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
  • Poms Camp – 12:00 to 2:00 PM

What a night it was! The general’s track team competed in the City of Lights Track Meet Tuesday night against 15 other schools from Aurora, IL. Congratulations to the Lady Generals in their 3rd place finish. The girls track team barely missed a second place finish by only 2 points. The girls had many standouts that contributed to their 51 total team points. Super job lady Generals!

 

Standout female athletes include:

Eva Acevedo - 4th place finish in the 800M run and a PR with a time of 2:50

4th place finish in the 1600M run and a PR with a time of 6:15

Ta’Tianna Gibson - 4th place finish in the 100M dash with a time of 13.64 seconds and a PR

2nd place finish in the 200M dash with a time of 29.24 seconds and a PR

Trynice Robinson - 3rd place finish in the 200M dash with a time of 29.68 seconds

Jazmin Williams - 4th place finish in the 400M dash with a time of 1:09 and a PR

6th place finish in the 800M run with a time of 2:54.66 and a PR

Trynice Robinson, Nyjiar Hicks, Kayln Thompson and Ta’Tianna Gibson - 1st place finish in the 4x100M Relay with a time of 56.63 and a team PR

The same group place 3rd in the 4x200M Relay with a time of 1:59.98 and a team PR

Eva Acevedo, Savanna McSpadden, Andrea Moedano and Jazmin Williams - 5th place finish in the 4x400M relay with a time of 5:00.39 and a team PR.

 

The boys team also did a great job with a 6th place finish with 28 team points. Many athletes on the boys team were competitive and earned a slew of personal records.

 

Standout male athletes include:

Julien Flores - 5th place finish in the 1600M run with a time of 5:39.66 and a PR

Jayden Chavez - 3rd place finish in the shot put with a throw of 35.17 feet and a 2nd place finish in the discus with a throw of 103.2 feet.

Elijah Wantuchowicz - 6th place finish in the triple jump with a jump of 30.38 feet and a PR

Tyler Fecht - with a 3rd place finish in the 100M Hurdles.

Valentino Lott, Syler Strickland, Braden Fraus and Kenny Nwalie with a 6th place finish in the 4x200M relay with a time of 1:51.29.
