Character – 1 Samuel 16:7 “The Lord does not look at the things people look at.  People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.”

1.    Discipline – Hebrews 12:11 “For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.”

2.    Witness – 2 Corinthians 5:20 “We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us.”

3.    Pride – Romans 1:16-17 “I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes.  For in it, the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith, as it is written, but the righteous man shall live by faith.”

Commitment – Proverbs 16:3 “Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.”

1.      Hard Work – Colossians 3:23 “Whatever you do work at it with all your heart as working for the Lord. Whatever you do work at it with all your heart as working for the Lord not for men since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.”

2.   Enthusiasm – Romans 12:11-12 “Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord enthusiastically.  Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.”

3.    Grit – Galatians 6:9 “Let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up.”

Relationships – Hebrews 10:24-25 “And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another.”

1.    Respect – 1 Peter 3:8-9 “Finally, all of you, live in harmony with one another; be sympathetic, love as brothers, be compassionate and humble.  Do not repay evil with evil or insult, but with blessing.”

2.    Enjoyment – Proverbs 17:22 “A cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.”

3.    Selflessness – Philippians 2:3-4 “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves.  Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.”

Results – 1 Corinthians 9:24 “Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize?  Run in such a way as to get the prize.”

3.    Quality – Philippians 4:8-9 “Whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.  What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me – practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.”
