Important Dates for Batavia High School Boys Soccer 2022

*DATES/TIMES FOR FRIENDLY MATCHES:  

Varsity(JR/SR):  Saturday, July 16th at BHS: 8 am, 10:20 am, 1:50 pm

Frosh/Soph:  Sunday, July 17th at Geneva H.S.:  8 am, 10:20 am, 1:50 pm

**WEAR BLACK SHORTS AND BLACK SOCKS - JERSEYS WILL BE PROVIDED**

    *INFORMATIONAL MEETING*   

    AUGUST 4th AT STADIUM (Visitor Bleachers) 9:00 am

-MAKE SURE TO REGISTER AND PHYSICAL SUBMITTED

-WILL BE GIVEN TRYOUT TIMES

-WILL BE GIVEN TEAM RULES AND EXPECTATIONS

*START OF TRYOUTS – AUGUST 8TH 

*END OF TRYOUTS WITH POTENTIAL CUTS – AUGUST 10TH 

*FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL – AUGUST 16th  

Common Questions:

How many teams?  Three – Varsity, JV, and freshman

How many boys do you keep? Between 60-66 – on average 20 per team

Can they make a higher team other than the freshman team?  Yes.  We evaluate each player as a staff and place them in the best spot for them to compete/get minutes.  Movement of a player can also occur during the season depending on program needs and individual players. 

When do you practice?  Monday through Saturday - after school practice from 3:00-4:30 pm.  Saturday will be determined by specific coach – morning usually

Where do you practice?  Storm Elementary – Underclassmen usually change in the athletic locker room and walk over to Storm – ½ mile – Players can be picked up there after practice.

Can I participate with my club during high school season?:  This is not allowed per the IHSA during the boys’ high school season.  NO CLUB STUFF STARTING August 8TH.  Clubs are aware of this rule.
